Great module, but keep in mind you cannot use custom php.tpl templates to theme the View. You'll have to resort to modifying the theme functions in template.php. This has been fixed in D7.
This is the best slideshow available for Drupal in my opinion. A better documentation would be nice (for jQuery Cyle Options for example).
Needed a slideshow/slider to rotate through some banners, worked great. Setup some imagecache and custom views rewriting of the output and within 5 minutes of installing had it working.
Very good module to be able to drop it in and have it work right away. Great work devs!

I love the ease and simplicity of this module. As long as you are comfortable with views, the possibilities with this module are great.
After some initial problems (caused by me not reading the provided documentation) everything works fine now and looks really nice.
The "old" slideshow version was working and nice but the new version 2 just tears the house down. There is so much you can do with it and much more to come. Currently it is under heavy development but already usable. The ease of use could be better but if you are an experienced views user you won't experience many problems. Make sure you have advanced help enabled do get some decent documentation.

One of the few reliable slideshow modules, as of early 2009 I have found.
I found this module extremely useful for sliding through news headlines in my header. Tested and works in Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 7. Haven't tested it in IE6, but I am sure it would work there too.
Users wanted a simple way to show a rotating set of photos with a nice cross dissolve across the top of their site. They want to change their own photos. This module was perfect! Thanks.
