Drupal.org Excerpt:

This module augments Views by allowing bulk operations to be executed on the displayed rows. It does so by showing a checkbox in front of each node, and adding a select box containing operations that can be applied. Drupal Core or Rules actions can be used. Mass delete

If you've ever wanted to delete all the nodes on your site in a hurry, this module can do it (and just about any other bulk operation you might want). Works great in Drupal 7.

Awesome for Admins

If you're managing custom content, this is the module for you. I wrote several custom modules to admin some cck types and VBO comes along and does everything that I had to code by hand.

Great work!

Must for production sites

Once your site reachs production, this module allows you to create flexible, highly usable admin screens which saves tons of time to the content editor.

Sample usage: create a page which lets you search for nodes based on various criteria such as the node title, then perform any number of operations on the results - such as assign taxonomy terms, unpublish, publish, promote to front page, delete, etc...

money maker

this module is definitely for the more experienced Drupal developers, yet the power it brings to your Views is amazing.

the real benefit I see in using this is for custom Administration screens.

Excellent alternative to admin/content/node page

The real power of this module is when you introduce custom actions (actions module).

It's pretty much for more advanced users though.
