Awesome Module for local video upload

I tried a no. of other video module but this one surely seems to be simple and if not the best .... certainly one of the best module. I liked it for its sheer simplicity and good documentation.

You can read the official documentation here at:

Thank you once again for coming up with such a great tool!!!

Crashes my browser...

This module has a ton of features, and if I needed all of them, or could get the module working, that'd probably be great. Unfortunately, configuring the module is difficult because there are just so many options. The documentation is alright, but it tends to give instructions something like "Check this to enable this setting" rather than explaining why you might want to check a setting or not.

Still, I was ready to give it a shot. After twenty minutes of configuration, I added a video field to a node and uploaded a test video. The result? Otherwise-stable Firefox crashed any and every time the node was viewed. This included the default teaser list on the front page. This was reliable, reproducible. Every time.

Now, seven thousand sites use the module, so presumably there's something wrong with my configuration, or a conflict with some other module's Javascript, but for me it wasn't worth the time to debug it or risk pushing that or another browser-crashing bug on my users.

I ended up using SWF Tools to play my videos instead, which meets my needs perfectly with its Flowplayer 3 support. Turns out I didn't need all those extra features after all.
