Works well for me

I use it on an engraving shop's website. Customers buy products that are using the price quote module - and that means it's a good module. I used it because some engravable items are too complex to rpice with Ubercart, and sometimes the customer thinks they want something when they don't! For example a customer might ask for a brass plaque, thinking they want something for a picture frame, when the product they're purchasing is designed for the opening of a building. It'd be awful if a customer saw a price which didn't reflect the item the wanted. They'd turn around and shop elsewhere. By using this module it gives us a chance to contact the customer, explain they options, and clarify what they want.

You can see this use case at http://trophy.co.nz/product/brass-plaque

Not well integrated

This module provides only basic and incomplete support for price quotes in Ubercart. Enabling this module leads to various errors in rendering the catalog display if the product cost is included ("Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in uc_price.inc on line 91"). Furthermore, the shopping cart itself isn't updated to indicate to the user that they're filling out a quote request, not a purchase.

Not enough integration with product payment workflow

The price quotes are actually handled as products for the price of $0.00 and I haven't been able to make a 'checked out' price quote payable again for the customer. So apparently to actually sell the product with the price applied to it, one needs to recreate the product. Not very handy if you ask me.
