Perfect Example of How a Module Should Be Constructed.
Recipe is a fantastic module, although a bit short on documentation. (On that side, I'm going to contact the author to see if I can help out there.) The author has clearly thought through everything that would be needed and laid it out in an incredibly user-friendly way. I did find, in the D7 version, one minor, theme-related strict warning -- not much in the transition to D7 and certainly not a show-stopper. Anyone needing to add recipes to their site should definitely try this module; trying to re-invent this wheel would take countless hours.
Equally important, anyone creating a project management, bug tracking, event management or other such module, should take a look at the construction of this module. From a user-friendly perspective and usability perspective, it embodies excellent design principles. (I haven't looked at the code yet, so I can comment on that. I hope it is as exemplary.)
Kudos to the developer of this module!

The Kitchen Ninja
Recipe is an absolutely brilliant module if you (like me) want to build a site to store recipes. I have installed CCK and content taxonomy to allow new fields in Recipe that are driven by taxonomy vocabularies. This works really well and I intend in the future to make greater use of it. I have also added image cache and color box to the mix. Image Cache allows me to upload a photograph which is then resized as thumbnails and previews for recipes. Color Box presents them in a very stylish manner.
Again, Recipe is an awesome mod and I look forward in the future to enhancing some of its features myself (once I learn a bit more about Drupal development). Keep up the good work.

Drupal 6 versions shaping up nice
This module in 2010 is quite different from the 2009 version.. lots of usability improvements and lots of bugs squashed.
If you try out Recipe, be sure to look at extending the content type using CCK and other popular modules, to attach Images, etc.

Versions are quite different
The Drupal5 version is definitely stagnant and old,
but the Drupal6 version is being improved quite a bit.
There isn't much documentation, but then again, what do you need it for. Copy on your server, enable the module, enter recipes.

Nice little module
Recipe is pretty nice, and is the only module which does what it does. The documentation is rather sparse but it is not difficult to work out. The module seems to have stagnated for some time, but development has picked up with a new co-maintainer added at the start of the new year. There are a lot of un-applied patches, particularly regarding internationalization.
