Great content admin tool
If you want to create handpicked lists and if you want to reorder the content easily and display it with views you cannot avoid this great piece of code.
It works pretty much without flaws, provides very handy additional features and is well maintained.

Invaluable module - best of the best!
Since discovering this module I have used in several high traffic sites with great success. It has become my go to solution when ever I need a list of nodes chosen or ordered by editorial choice. It has excellent views support. It's easy to use "Add to QueueX" links on content items and intuitive interface for ordering nodes allows it to be included is sites used/managed by the "less technical" among us. The variety and number of extension modules really makes this a core building block no mater what kind of site you are creating.

Creates nice manually sorted lists.
Subqueue, which is a fancy term for automatically created queues based on taxonomy, is extremely helpful. I'm using it to create galleries where admins can rearrange the order of the images.

module not working
Author queue is not working.
(warning: array_keys() [function.array-keys]: The first argument should be an array in ...authorqueue.module on line 64.)
This module is a waste of time.

Very handy if you need custom sorting
Drupal has limited options to sort node lists. Default it is based on the sticky paramter, the creation date and the node title.
Alternatively, you can create a view based on where you can sort on a custom field, say "display order". However, maintaining the order is a tedious task, since you have to edit all the nodes for which you want to change the order.
That is where node queue comes to a resque. Via the UI you can quickly change the order. Also you can select which nodes should be added to a queue easily.
It integrates beautifully with views.

Good tutorial
Barry Pretsell wrote a very nice tutorial about node queue (plus workflow and actions). You can read it here:
