I prefer menu_per_role

I prefer menu_per_role, because it does not depend on a new menu block. I use this module primarily to hide some menu items for guests. They should only be hidden, the URL should be still accessible. So this menu_per_role is perfect for that. Menu_access is more complicated to serve this purpose.
