How does this work?
[edit] Talk about obscure... For a node map, navigate to map/node. For a user map, map/user. This is the only module thus far that required reading the README.TXT file. I guess I've been pampered up to this point... Also, is there a way to have a map presented in each node along with the Location information, and what about a driving direction option when clickiing on an item in a map?[/edit]
I don't consider myself a noob, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get a map to display for a content type that has Location enabled. Followed the docs, loaded the zipcodes, installed GMap, set all the settings... what gives?

Definitely Useful
Wow, out of the box this gives you a lot. And with the addition of other modules, you can get almost anything you need from mapping. It's a bit confusing, both to the admin and to the users, but it works well, it's been very reliable in my experience. It just worked!

Quite Powerful
This module is quite wonderful. Having the ability to attach a location to nodes is something that comes in handy quite often. Using the API provided, other modules allow for easy extensions, such as displaying all nodes on a map (Gmap Module), or showing only nodes which are close to a certain point (gProximity). This allows for one to enable functionality similar to "find the store nearest me". Or, "find other users in my area". The possibilities of extension modules are endless, and the exciting thing is, most of them have already been created.
