Bit Buggy

It gets an image into your wysiwyg but it seems to get confused with centre, right or left align. Images inserted with image assist didn't seem to respond to the wysiwyg commands for this, nor did they respond to the image assist commands to do the same things.

The css for it looked awful with most themes.

overall a vey unprofessional and unreliable thing to give to my clients, t would have resulted in them calling up with issues all the time, so i opted not to go with it.

I went over to Image Picker and it works perfectly doing exactly this and more.

Good module for inserting images

I've used this module with both TinyMCE and FCK Editor and it creates a simple way of inserting images straight into the page without needing to upload them previously, including resizing, left or right aligning, adding captions, etc.

It does provide rather a lot of options, many of which aren't necessary, unless you're e.g. running a gallery and want the option of having a description in the close up of the image.

If you just want to use it to insert images on a page, I recommend you go to Content Types then Image and remove the body field and if you've got the 'Menu Settings per Content Type' module enabled, also select that images can't appear in any menus and this removes some of the options when inserting images.

If you are running a gallery, or something where images should automatically link to a close-up with more information, it works great.

Oh, and make sure you read the readme file, as it needs a bit of configuring.

Image Assist is a must!

If you are using the Image module, then Image Assist is a must! I don't really even see the point of using the Image module without Image Assist. Image Assist makes it easy to add as many pictures as you want anywhere within your story or page content. This module places an "Insert Image" link or icon below appropriate text fields making it easy to upload new images or select a previously uploaded one. During the insertion process Image Assist gives you the option to change the size, alignment, link behavior, title, and description of any picture.
Try it, you'll like it.
