Another you cannot do without

This module is, in my humble estimation, one of the great unsung heroes in the drupal module repository. Testimony to its rock solid performance is the fact that it is packaged in the Acquia commercial download. Its been around forever, is well maintained, and works flawlessly. I have for the most part moved to the CCK-imagecache-imagefield combination for many of the sites I work on but once in a while there is a need for the old warhorse, whose image-attach and image gallery functionalities are often times indispensible. Most important, they work and work well. Five stars for this great piece of coding.

Image module is an easy choice

The Image module makes it easy to get started adding pictures to your content. If you use this module, be sure to install the Image Assist module as well.
These two modules together make the easiest way to add as many pictures as you want anywhere inline with the rest of your content.

Works moderately well

This module is required by 'all' gallery modules. On its own, it is useful, but I feel that creating nodes simply for images is a bit overboard. This topic has been discussed at great length before, so I will not go into it here.. but, I will add, that as a basis for modules such as image cache, acid free, and other galleries, this module does what it needs to do. It creates customizable thumbnails and other sized images and provides a very nice framework for other image-relate modules.
