Not ready

It certainly isn't ready to use yet, although it looks like it is going to be very good. Don't understand why they no longer support feedapi meanwhile. There doesn't seem to be any usable module to do this job.

Very useful

I use it together with http://drupalmodules.com/module/mailhand...
to create nodes from emails

Stick with FeedAPI until this hits 1.1

Alpha and beta updates can be unstable -- don't risk this on a production site until it gets out of beta (and I would wait until 1.1).

Very complex -- prepare for a learning curve. But very powerful. When final, this will be the Views of site-to-site interaction.

Many poorly documented module dependencies. You should do a test install on a development site first to ensure that you've got them all. Also, always update this separately from other modules (see note re. update stability) so a) you can roll back the update if necessary, and b) because the SQL on updates is sometimes complex enough that it might time out the SQL query.

Where do I Import

Might be me but I'm not able to figure out where I am supposed to import my CSV file.
Also the target fields do not resemble the field I create in my custom content type.

I thought this module would be a great mash-up but I'm not sure now.
