Lots of Potiential...

I've been trying to make this into something I could use for a project & just can't. Seems it's got a great idea behind it, but lots to be desired. Here are my problems with the basic functionality:

  • Only 5 fields. No way to add more.
  • Most defaults added on admin screen do not transfer to creation screen.
  • Only supports some variables.

    Recommended.

I like this module, and wish for 4 features.

    1. Ability to notify the admin when someone registers or cancels participation in an event (or directions for using other modules to do so.)

    2. A way to allow people to pay for events

    3. A way to block off sign-up times. (for now, the maintainer recommends making dummy data, so that those slots appear to be full already.)

    4. Email reminder to participant a configurable number of days before the event.

    The first of it's kind

An area missing a Drupal presense is in proper event management and this is where this module comes into play.

It has great potential indeed. My first request would be someway to integrate hooks to use a payment system as part of booking process.

Fantastic effort all the same for a brand new module and kudos to the maintainers.
