vbdrupal

I am totally new to this. I would like to modify the defaultangy theme so that I can customize how cck fields are displayed in nodes. I look up the "defaultangy.theme" file. There are many functions in it. How are they used by vbdrupal? It would be great if someone can point me to the right direction. Thanks

useful if it works

Not really reliable to me. The currently recommended version of the module breaks my site. I believe the recommended version should be 6.x-1.0-beta3 instead of beta4.
The weird thing is that about 11,000 users use it. Maybe they didn't upgrade. And also I agree, you need to have a strong knowledge of php to use it.

Great module if you know some php

If you know some php and you need to save some data in a field taken from other nodes or fields, perform operations (of any kind) this is a must have module. The latest version made a lot easier this module and there's quite a few snippets to get you started.

This module can solve a lot of problems when trying to do something weird with fields and nodes.

Good for accounting.

We first started playing with this module recently because we needed to automate some basic accounting tables on a new site for a client. We started porting the 5.x version to 6.x, and got far enough to be impressed with its efficacy but frustrated by its feature limitations, when suddenly a 6.x version was released that included most of the features we'd been wanting. Yay! Give it a try.

Useful supplement to CCK

I use it for simple, content dependent display of various fields. But the examples here show, that you could do much more. It's simple to set up and running. Of course, you need to know some php basics to calculate the fields, but following just the examples, even a novice can use it.
