Missing implied ability to link to arbitrary paths

I was expecting to be able to use this module to "easily create links to Drupal internal paths", so I was kind of annoyed to discover, after installing it and trying to do that, that it can only link to nodes, and that you apparently link to them by title rather than by path.

The error message "Link must be a valid Drupal path" that appears you get when you attempt enter a valid Drupal path in the Link field of the CKEditor Link dialog is particularly misleading.

On the upside, installation instructions were, for the most part, clearly presented. I was temporarily confused about the fact that you check a box to "enable a button" in the CKEditor profile but there is not supposed to be a new button afterwards. Perhaps there could be a clear note to this effect. I realized how this worked when I went back and re-read the beginning of the instructions on the project page.

It seems to be fairly easy to use once you understand its limitations, but I'm also a bit thrown off by the fact that I link to nodes by their names. It's a bit ambiguous as to whether the link will still work if the name changes. I'm assuming that it actually stores the link by node ID, but this is not made clear in the interface.

Thank God for the Module

I'm so sick of nodepickers that only support editors via WYSIWYG module. I don't like to use WYSIWYG module due to its limitations. This module at least makes it possible to do some sort of node picking via standalone CKEditor. Many thanks!
