As a huge fan of actions getting system events to trigger is a must for any Drupal site.
I tried this out on my production site just after the release of the Alpha and found it incredibly useful to avoid missing files from re aggregated CSS across my load balancer.
I used a blanket empty cache bins so I haven't yet used the ability to empty specific cache bins, So I cant comment on how stable this is, but the maintainer is quick to answer any questions you might have.
