good module
Great module that extends the functionality of the core forum. I've used it on my site and no errors or any problems since day 1.
I use this on my site, http://www.FutureMessage.org, you can go to the forums to see it in action!

Great Module
Great Module even if your not using forums! Why? Because it provides comments and nodes with a user centric features that makes Drupal into a much higher level of social environment then any other module!
Its still not as powerfull as pure Forum Based systems, but it is getting there, and fast! The Admin section could use some more options to help the person who can not work with .tpl.php files, but then again do we want this? Should this be a feature? I would love to see the reliance on tpl.php in favor of built in logic that will ultimately slow down page rendering at the cost of ease of use features. Keep up the GREAT work everyone. Drupal is the best because of modules like these!

Very much needed
Michelle approached a dark spot in Drupal: a forum that looks nice and works like a regular forum out-of-the-box. And she brought light into this space... The install is easy in the end, you just need to sort out with the _phptemplate_variables for the 5.x Version (in D6 not needed anymore) and here you go.
Very nice also the choice of different Themes for the looks. With the aid of stephthegeek this has taken a step up. Not so nice the slow and somewhat inconsistent development progress. Yet nothing serious - this is just a glue module for Core Forum, so no Data lost on upgrades.

Excellent module!
Michelle has done a smashing job with the Advanced Forum module. It does an excellent job of improving the default Drupal forum look and usability. There are still some minor improvements needed, but given that this project is still early in it's release cycles, it holds a lot of promise!
