Module Overview

Drupal.org Excerpt:

The most complete module to let you link your users and contents to physical addresses. IMPORTANT NOTE: I created a new branch named 6.x-1.x. This means the master branch is not used for development anymore. If you used git directly to get the latest, make sure to switch to the new branch. Features All... [More...]

Poor Module... waste of 3 hrs

Was looking for a solution to be able to add address fields to a content type. After getting version 6.x.1 install and getting it configured. Create a node, the address fields are not in any reasonable order, you can't customize the order and the best "feature" data wouldn't save properly. Country and Province were being set to some weird combinations, not all the fields would display on the node view.

I was hoping the a simple set of address fields would work but sadly this is not the case.

I've attempted to use the 6.x.2-dev version and it's not even near ready.

This module adds fields to core profile that cannot be hidden.

If you use this module to give users ability to set their address/city, I did not find a way to allow these fields to be hidden.

unimpressed

much more effective to just create a bunch of cck fields for address line 1, line 2, city, state, zip, etc and have full control over the outcome, be able to theme, etc. that's the route i went after trying this out for a while anyway. i mean, i can't write modules, so i have respect for the chaps that did it, but it is, as above, simply too buggy to be as useful as some of the better modules out there.

This is an unfinished module with no issues support

I would like to use this module as it does appear to have some great features, but it simply is too buggy to use.

I installed it and like the admin interface and the built-in list of countries and provinces, but it does not display phone numbers properly. It does not work well with views, and I found that I could not use it.

I could not figure out how to add a custom address field (such as subway or 2nd and 3rd street address fields) and after I submitted an issue to the queue, I received no response and it looks like there is little or no activity in the issues queue.

It looks like it could be a great module, if it was finished however.

Unfortunately turned out as I feared

I was hesitant to install this module after looking into the earlier review here and the issues from other users. I should have trusted my instincts. Uninstalled it after it threw up errors everywhere I tried to use it.

Conflicts with Views

When I attempt to create a new content type with this module, the Views administration page is no longer accessible (it is blank). Removing this field from the new content type fixes the Views administration issue. I'm running Drupal 6.6 with Views 2.1 and CCK 2.0.
