This looked like a something that would meet my needs. It installed without issues, but uploading a csv file turned out to be a lot of work and very messed up results. Even though the file was considerably smaller than the limit of 8 meg, uploading the file resulted in an unknown error message. When looked at the address book some of the date had uploaded, but it was very messed up with one last name appearing about 500 times. While I appreciate the effort the went into developing the module I'm not sure it something that will be that useful.
The first time I tried to install this module I had no joy. Then I realised that it is necessary to ensure that user permissions are set and works beautifully.
I cannot believe this is the only address book module out there, since I would have thought that so many people would find this useful.
All 5's because it meets all my needs and expectations, except for the documentation which is ever so slightly lacking (esp for a newbie).
Just remember to enable permissions for this module, and if you are working off a wamp installation then point your browser to
http://localhost/"drupalfoldername"/addressbook/family/list
I think a ready-made menu link as part of the installation process would also be rather helpful in future version if possible.
In short, simple, solidly functional and well presented. Great great stuff.
This is a family contact list that could be developed into a contact database given some more development time. A contact list was not the intention of the developer however and clearly a lot of effort was put into creating this module. The looks of the list require some styling after installation and the code needs better adherence to standards.
