Your site has been a real timesaver for me for almost a year now -- thank you!
What would make it even more useful [for me] would be, in search results, to list the link to the module's project page on drupal.org.
I don't really like to read the project page info here: once I've found modules that might be what I'm seeking, I visit the page on d.o. ~ that's always going to be the endpoint...
I realize this might move peoples away from your site more quickly, but for folks like me for whom your site's real usefulness is /search/, plain-and-simple, it would save a keystroke and page load.
Thanks!

d.o project link is on page

The project link for the d.o site is on the page ... just not where you would expect it.
On each module page there is a section called "Details:".
Under that section there is a "Project Page:" prompt and the name of the module after that.
The prompt is actually the link to the d.o/project/xxx page.
Just click that one.
See below for what you are looking to find.

project page link in *search results*
jeffschuler - December 4, 2009 - 13:13
The d.o. Project Page link is right where I'd expect it on the individual project pages...
However, I want that d.o. Project Page link in the drupalmodules.com *Search Results* -- not just the individual project's page.
Sorry if that wasn't clear.
My current process on this site is:
1. Search for module(s).
2. Click module title in results to view drupalmodules.com project page(s)
3. Click on Project Page link to get to the module's d.o. page.
I want to remove step #2.
Can you tell me why you

Can you tell me why you prefer the drupal.org project pages? I've been thinking about adding some other features to module pages here, so any input on making them better is welcome.
d.o. and drupalmodules.com

I guess I could give specifics like: more maintainer info, issue statistics, related project/discussions, and wider page width...
However, I think the real, underlying reason is that d.o. is where the project -- and all it entails -- really exists. Nearly all of the links listed here on a project page here direct to d.o.; the downloads, the users, the docs, the issues...
The development happens there, the community is there. I'm going to troll the issue queue before I download a new module.
I'm going to click the download link from d.o. because I trust it [more]. Or, more likely, go to the release notes page to copy the CVS tag, (now there's something you might list on the project pages here...)
I don't want to make this into a "why don't you put your time into improving d.o. instead?" because I appreciate what you're doing here. You provide functionality that doesn't exist there, (and prove it should.) This site, as an alternative option, provides incentive and ideas for improving d.o.
But divergence away from d.o. and duplication of efforts concerns me, and I wonder if you have a notion of where you'd like the overlap to begin and end. Or, following Drupal's contrib => core philosophy, if there's a goal for getting the functionality you're creating here rolled back into d.o...
Thanks!
Thanks, that's useful

Thanks, that's useful feedback.
Drupal.org does a good job of hosting projects and the issue queues, so I don't want to replicate too much of that here.
My main goal with DrupalModules is to facilitate discovery, to make it easier to find good modules. That's why I concentrate on search, ratings, and reviews.
I want to keep the search pretty simple, pulling in too much data will slow it down and crowd the interface. But, you're right, it'd probably be useful to have d.o links in the search results. I'll have to think about it.
:)
