Drupal Modules has always been on a private server. I use AN Hosting for my business and personal sites (like Blamcast), but DrupalModules.com requires a lot more power than $6/month can buy.
Some statistics:
Module Finder searches per month: 360,000
Regular page views per month: 500,000+
Rating graphs requested per month: 1.6 million
Total HTTP requests per month: 6 million

but How http://blamcast.net do gzip-compressed Apache technique
[I tested by (http://www.gidnetwork.com/tools/gzip-tes...)]
but ANhosting does not support gzip/deflate?
as they technical support reply to my question about apache compressed support.
-if there are another way you used to gzip your blamcast.net
